Carlos Gutierrez

Carlos Gutierrez joined the Capital CDC team in July 2003. He initially served as the Austin Regional Manager of the Loan Products Group and then transitioned to the South Texas Region, responsible for administering and underwriting SBA's 504 Loan Program in the South Texas/Valley area. Now Carlos serves as the Director of Lending, which oversees the training, growth and administration of the Loan Products Group and Capital CDC's Business Development Officers. The 504 Loan Program is designed to provide long-term, fixed asset financing for small businesses.

Carlos brings a valuable blend of entrepreneurial know-how, business development skills, and analytical aptitude. Before relocating to Texas, he worked in Miami as the Manager for the Commercial Loan Department of Trust USA Mortgage Corporation. Previously, he worked as a Senior Commercial Loan Officer and Business Development Specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration where he developed a strong background in the 7a and 504 loan programs. His SBA experience included district office assignments in Arkansas, California, and Florida. His qualifications also include many years of experience as a small business owner in the retail sector.

His educational background includes a BBA and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He has also completed SBA's financial training series for senior credit analysts. He is a member of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO).
