Gerald Burgess

Gerald Burgess joined Capital Certified Development Corporation in March of 2007 as a Loan Specialist with the Loan Underwriting & Processing Group. This position plays a vital role in Capital CDC's centralized loan closing process working with borrowers, lenders, and local branches of the SBA to efficiently administer and underwrite the 504 Loan Program. The 504 Loan Program is designed to provide long-term, fixed asset financing to small businesses.

Gerald, who has spent most of his working career in Houston and Dallas, has 15+ years of experience in credit analysis and commercial lending and asset based lending, financial sales, loan review for compliance, mortgage servicing, loan work outs, operational and financial audits.

Gerald has served as and Auditor and Account Officer with Wells Fargo Business Credit Business Corporation in Dallas, Texas; Assistant Vice President, Credit Manager for Manufacturers Hanover International Banking Corporation in Houston, Texas; and an Assistant Vice President, Loan Review and Commercial Loan Officer, with Texas American Bancshares and Texas American Bank N.A. He most recently served as a Credit Analyst for Dell, Inc. and a Business Analyst for ARC System, Inc. in Austin, Texas. In these various positions, Gerald has worked with many types of clients in a variety of business situations which has given him the opportunity to build a wealth of knowledge that will serve Capital CDC's lenders and borrowers well.

Gerald graduated with a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a member of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO).
