New Mexico Sr. Business Development Officer

Lorena Chavez joins our team in 2006 as we expand our outreach into New Mexico. She brings over 25 years of experience to Capital CDC and serves as the Sr. Business Development Officer in the greater New Mexico area. In this role Lorena works with borrowers, lenders, and local branches of the SBA to efficiently administer and underwrite the 504 Loan Program. The 504 program is designed to provide long-term, fixed asset financing to small businesses.
Her expertise not only includes finance, banking, business development and real estate, but also the 504 program and detailed processes of the Small Business Administration. Lorena's previous experience includes work in a bank and title company, and most recently a certified development company where she served as a Portfolio Management Specialist and Business Development Specialist.
Lorena attended the University of New Mexico as well as Albuquerque-TVI. She has also completed continuing education courses through NADCO (National Association of Development Companies) and AIB (American Institute of Banking).
