Sheldon McCarthy

Sheldon McCarthy joined Capital Certified Development Corporation in June 2007 as a Loan Specialist. Sheldon is a member of our high performance underwriting team whom are a vital role in Capital CDC's centralized loan closing process working with borrowers, lenders, and local branches of the SBA to efficiently administer and underwrite the 504 Loan Program. The 504 Loan Program is designed to provide long-term, fixed asset financing to small businesses.

Sheldon brings IT systems implementation and small business management experience to Capital CDC. Prior to joining the company, Sheldon was contracted to work with the transportation division of Temple Inland as a Business Analyst. In this capacity, Sheldon assisted in the data mining, processing and validation of more than 15,000 contracted shipment rates to complete the implementation of the new planning software. Prior to working as a Business Analyst, Sheldon managed a local cellular telephone retail store and, before that, was a manager of a franchise bakery in Austin.

Sheldon has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He is also a member of the National Association of Development Companies (NADCO).
