Loan Specialist

Jason Chong is a Loan Specialist in Capital CDC’s Loan Processing & Underwriting Department. Jason is responsible for the timely and orderly flow of SBA projects from application to pre-closing. Jason brings a wealth of experience in commercial real estate due diligence, leadership, and organizational development and growth.

Prior to joining Capital CDC, Jason was a founding member of Silver Hill Financial, who pioneered a residential-style approach to small-balance commercial real estate lending. Jason was a key component in the development of the start-up and rapid profitability of the company, and also orchestrated the start-up and growth of the first operations center outside of corporate headquarters. While at Silver Hill, he served as Processing Manager in corporate headquarters in Miami, Florida then Director of Operations of the western region in the Denver, Colorado office. During Jason’s tenure at Silver Hill, the company grew from 6 employees to over 500.

Prior to his work at Silver Hill, Jason served as a Commercial Transaction Analyst for Bayview Financial, performing due diligence on commercial real estate projects up to $10 million, personally rendering credit decisions exceeding $300 million in closed transactions. Jason began his career as a senior credit and lending analyst at community banks in Miami, Florida.

Jason earned a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Business Management and Organization from the University of Miami.
