Miller Waldrop Furniture & Decor Purchases New Showroom Using SBA 504 Loan Program
Capital CDC assists Miller Waldrop Furniture & Decor with SBA 504 financing to open a new showroom in Lubbock, Texas.
Miller Waldrop Furniture & Décor is a family-owned and operated business, established in 1952 in southeastern New Mexico. Kent & Beckey Waldrop are third-generation Owners and Operators of the stores and have been working in the business for over 30 years.
Miller Waldrop Furniture and Décor currently operates two stores in New Mexico, and most recently, partnered with Capital CDC to finance the expansion of the business to a third location – in Lubbock, Texas.
Identifying a need for quality, specialty furniture in the Lubbock area, Owners Kent & Beckey Waldrop used an SBA 504 Loan to purchase and renovate a 32,927 SF, multi-story building that includes showroom space, a warehouse area, and back-office space.
By using the SBA 504 Loan, this project will bring 16 jobs to the area over the next two years and has breathed life back into a retail center that had sat vacant. The new showroom offers the community a wide variety of furniture and accessories at different price points and styles – something for everyone!
