SAN ANTONIO - The SBA San Antonio District Office is pleased to announce the 2017 District Small Business Week 7(a) Lender and 504 Certified Development Company of the Year. This year’s National Small Business Week is scheduled for April 30 - May 6, 2017.
SBA provides a number of financial assistance programs for small businesses that have been specifically designed to meet key financing needs, including debt financing, surety bonds, and equity financing. From starting up or expanding a business to recovering from disasters, SBA loan programs are available to help businesses succeed.
For the 2016 calendar year, BBVA Compass completed 198 7(a) loans amounting in $39,267,800 giving them the title of 7(a) Lender of the Year for the district.
Additionally, Capital Certified Development Company is announced as the 504 Certified Development Company of the Year for 33 loan approvals totaling $37,860,000.
During the 2016 fiscal year the local district office passed $500 million in both 7(a) and 504 loans, representing a 7.2 percent increase in the dollar value from the previous fiscal year.
This year's winners will be celebrated during an award luncheon at the Omni San Antonio Hotel at the Colonnade on May 4, 2017.
